Joyce Young, a BA Hons graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, has been a fashion designer since graduating in 1975. Having gained vast experience in the fashion industry she decided to launch By Storm a new concept in the bridal market. The first shop opened in 1994 in Bearsden, Glasgow.

Joyce designs for Modern Brides and stylish Mothers and Guests who want a less formal look. Joyce’s designs are sophisticated and flattering to the figure with a timeless understated elegance. The combination of simplicity of line and luxurious fabrics together with a keen eye for colour and detail make the “By Storm Look” very different.

Joyce Young and By Storm are proud winners of both the ‘Best Bridal Designer’ and overall ‘Industry Award for Best Business’ at the 2005 VOWS Awards.
